One of my favorite moments of the day is waking up my daughter.
Some mornings, she rolls over, pulling the covers tighter, not quite ready to leave the warmth of sleep. Other mornings, she wakes up with the sweetest energy, like the world is fresh and full of possibilities.
This morning was one of those mornings.
Before I even reached her room, I heard her little voice echo down the hallway—“Come cuddle with me!”
Instant smile. Instant warmth.
It’s in these small, everyday moments that I feel the weight of love the most. The way she calls for me without hesitation, the way she still wants me close, the way her sleepy little voice is enough to make my entire morning better.
Life moves fast. Some days feel overwhelming, filled with to-do lists and responsibilities. But this? These moments? They remind me to pause, to soak it in, to be present.
Because one day, she won’t be this little. One day, she won’t call for me in the mornings. But today, she does. And today, I’m right there.
