This morning, I woke up at 4:45 AM to get my life in order before heading out to a 5:30 AM workout class. Body Pump. A full-body workout that’s equal parts exhausting and exhilarating. And let me tell you—it felt great.

I walked into that gym alongside ten other men and women who made the decision to show up for themselves before the sun even came up. And we kicked butt. I even increased my barbell weight by 2.5 pounds on each side—which might not sound like much, but to me? It’s a win. It means I’m getting stronger. It means the work I’m putting in is paying off.

And the best part? I’m not doing this for anyone else. There’s no ulterior motive, no hidden agenda. I’m not working out because I think I have to, or because I want to prove something to someone. I’m doing this for me. I’m showing up for myself. I’m becoming the best version of me, one rep, one workout, one small victory at a time.

On the way home, my mind started to wander. I caught myself thinking of him again—out of nowhere, just lingering in my thoughts. But instead of spiraling or letting it take over, I snapped myself out of it. “Hey, why are you on my mind? Get out of there.” And just like that, the thought was gone.

Thanks, reframing. You the real MVP.

And then, just as I pulled into my driveway, I saw something in the road. At first, I thought it was just a random piece of debris. But as I got closer, I realized—it was a dove.

I don’t know why, but it felt symbolic. Like a little sign from the universe.

So, naturally, I Googled it. And wouldn’t you know—doves symbolize new beginnings, peace, and healing.

I’ll take it.

Because that’s exactly where I am right now. Starting fresh. Finding peace. Healing.

And it feels damn good.

Here’s to growth. Here’s to strength. Here’s to better.
